Evvy raises $40M as it seeks to further women’s health research with vaginal microbiome data

Evvy reports serving over 100,000 patients and collaborating with 3,000 practitioners, having published 15 peer-reviewed studies and identified new vaginal microbiome subtypes and genomes. CEO Priyanka Jain highlighted that the company aims to build a comprehensive dataset linking microbiome biology, symptoms, interventions, and health outcomes to advance precision medicine for women, addressing a critical data gap. Evvy has also introduced EvvyAI, an AI assistant for vaginal health guidance, and is expanding into fertility research, investigating links between the vaginal microbiome and conditions like infertility and IVF success rates. The company hopes its approach can evolve into a more comprehensive, non-invasive alternative to traditional screenings.
